I just read this article regarding energy prices (and everything prices) in small Alaskan villages: Seattle Times Article

It mostly focuses on Barrow, AK. I once read an article in an Alaskan newspaper that my hometown, Dillingham, was second only to Barrow for cost of living. I don’t know if that is still accurate, but it’s pretty freaky! The photo shown with this article shows a 5-lb bag of potatoes in Barrow selling for 14.99. Uh…Safeway has them for 2.99, the last time I checked.

I don’t have any judgements to pass on the article. I just thought it was interesting, and wanted to share. It makes me feel for all my Alaskan homies.
